I had to make a set influenced by Reese Witherspoon's movie Election. That movie, which premiered in 1999, started Reese's career in Hollywood. A fun fact about the movie is that Mellisa Joan Hart (who used to play Sabrina the teenage witch, one of my old favorite shows) also auditioned for the lead role of Tracey, but obviously Reese got the part. I have never seen the movie myself, but I imagine that Tracey's style is very preppy. I wanted give the outfit a little twist, since summer is so close! :)
I love the pops of magenta in this set too. I'm a big fan of taking colors that you normally wouldn't see in spring/summer and making them work.
